Mrs Hinch, real name Sophie Hinchliffe, has revealed her father Alan has died.  Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, she shared a gallery of images and revealed her father died on April 25, suddenly in his sleep.  She wrote: '25th April 2024. My precious Dad passed suddenly but so peacefully whilst he slept. My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down.

Undocumented asylum seekers are paying thousands of euros to enter the country via cruise ships from the UK, according to some of the new arrivals living in tents on the Grand Canal in Dublin. There were a total of 85 tents lined up between Mount Street Bridge and Huband Bridge yesterday afternoon - a figure that has doubled in less than a week. And one man from Egypt told the Irish Daily Mail that he feels safer here as 'in England they will send him to Rwanda'. While some of the homeless asylum seekers came from the former encampment outside the International Protection Office (IPO) on nearby Mount Street, others arrived in Ireland just days ago from the UK. Taoiseach Simon Harris yesterday vowed that the encampment would not be allowed to remain in place for 'weeks and weeks'.

Rebecca Joynes, 30, had been on bail accused of 'grooming' a 15-year-old for sex by buying him a £345 Gucci belt from Selfridges at the Trafford Centre. She then drove him in her white Audi to her flat in Salford Quays where they had sex twice, a jury heard. But despite her telling him 'No-one better find out', he messaged a friend over Snapchat to tell him he had 'just had sex with Ms Joynes', they were told.

A Ukrainian man dressed as a woman and carrying his sister's passport has been arrested trying to flee the country. The 44-year-old was stopped at the border with Romania by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine after they became suspicious of his burly physique.

Katherine Asplundh, formerly Driscoll, (right) married Cabot Asplundh, 27, (together middle) of the Pennsylvania billionaire family at a reception in Palm Beach, Florida, two weeks ago. The newlywed has now unintentionally gone viral after reaching out to another woman of the same name in hopes of purchasing her Instagram handle to reflect her new surname. In the exchange (inset), Asplundh said celebrities often bought social media handles and suggested she deserved to have the moniker for her account. The user, identified only as Kate, was reluctant to go ahead with the transaction in fear of being banned from the popular social media platform. The response did not satisfy Asplundh who began threatening to report the woman to Instagram.

Kim Ki Nam died on Tuesday due to old age and 'multiple organ dysfunction', having been treated at a hospital since 2022, the country's official Korean Central News Agency said. He was 94. Kim Jong Un visited the funeral hall early Wednesday morning, paid silent tribute and looked around the bier with 'bitter grief over the loss of a veteran revolutionary who had remained boundlessly loyal' to the regime, state media KCNA said. The North Korean leader was seen bowing in front of the bier as a contingent of military men in uniforms serenaded them with various musical instruments. Nam was often referred to as the Joseph Goebbels of North Korea, in reference to the Nazi propagandist-in-chief, so key was his work in entrenching the Kim family in power.

Women spend almost an hour a day longer than men doing unpaid work, new data has shown. According to latest figures from the Office for National Statistics, women in Britain spent an average of 3 hours and 32 minutes on unpaid work each day in March. This included cooking, cleaning, gardening, volunteering, and caring for adults and children. By contrast, men only spent an average of 2 hours and 35 minutes on the same activities each day. The ONS data also showed how - apart from sleeping and working - adults in Britain spent most of their time each day watching television (2 hours and 20 minutes). They also spent an average of 1 hour and 55 minutes preparing and eating food, and  55 minutes washing, dressing and self-grooming (55 minutes). Less time was spent by Britons socialising (31 minutes) or cleaning (27 minutes) on a daily basis. People in the East Midlands (4 hours and 13 minutes) enjoyed the most free time, including entertainment and socialising, out of England's regions. This compared to an average of just 3 hours and 4 minutes for those in London, and 3 hours and 21 minutes in Yorkshire and The Humber.

American Lauren Wasser developed Toxic Shock Syndrome despite changing her tampons regularly. She lost both of her legs as a result of the life-threatening infection. The now-36-year-old dispelled the myth TSS is caused by leaving tampons in for more than eight hours and said the illness can happen even to those who use them correctly.

She may not have been invited to the Met Gala, after Anna Wintour vowed never to work with her husband Kanye West due to his anti-Semitic rants.  But Bianca Censori was certainly there in spirit this year, after several A-list stars appeared to take a leaf out of her book while dressing for the red carpet. Bianca, 29, who secretly wed Kim Kardashian's ex, 46, in December 2022, has long been criticised for her near-nude outfits, many of which include sheer body stockings worn without underwear. 

NEW Channel 4 's two-part programme Spacey Unmasked explores the allegations of sexual harassment and abuse made against the actor and the outcomes of the court cases held against him. Last year the American Beauty and House of Cards actor, 64, was found not guilty of nine sexual offences made against him by four men who were in their 20s and 30s between 2004 and 2013. Kevin's estranged brother Randy Fowler appeared in the first episode of the programme on Monday night, where he opened up about their childhood together. With Prince Harry currently on a lightning visit to the UK to mark 10 years of the Invictus Games, he will likely be feeling pride in what is his greatest achievement. Yesterday the Duke, who has travelled without his wife Meghan Markle , attended a special service at St Paul's Cathedral to mark the milestone. The event will have been especially meaningful for Harry, who founded the Invictus Games - the international sporting event for wounded servicemen and women - in 2014. The Prince, who served two tours of Afghanistan as a soldier, previously said: 'I have witnessed first-hand how the power of sport can positively impact the lives of wounded, injured Servicemen and women in their journey of recovery.' Eight dolphins have died and five remain deserted and starving at Blackbeard Cay, on Balmoral Island in Nassau, Bahamas after it shutdown during the pandemic, according to a non-profit. Ric O'Barry of the Dolphin Project visited the desolate facility and noted the surviving dolphins look underweight and appear to be suffering from malnutrition and dehydration. 'The five survivors are in a world of trouble from everything I have seen. From critical food (and water) deprivation to lack of critically needed shade, and electricity, from potential hazards within the dolphins' enclosures to lack of proper medical care, it would be more appropriate to state that survivors are living a nightmare,' O'Barry said.

But the new eco-friendly 'mothership' yacht must chill its hydrogen fuel at an extraordinary -423.4 Fahrenheit in order to store the gas as a liquid.
